Should I buy a 2012 Fuel flex

Hey guys I'm about to buy a 2012 Tundra TRD RW but it has fuel flex. I'm concerned because I have read that some ppl are having problems with there fuel flex, cold start etc.

Now not sure if I want to buy the fuel flex vehicle. So should I buy or not buy?

Thanks Chieflikalotapus. I also do research on my vehicle before purchasing and just want to make sure I'm buying something with no big issues

I have not had any trouble with mine. I know 3 other people with Flex Fuel no issues on their trucks either.

Unleaded? You mean no ethanol? Cain't buy nary leaded gasoline where I travel.

Don't fill it completely from empty to full with e85.
I think the manual even says keep it mixed with low ethanol fuel or similar.
Good luck!

Mine is a ffv as well. No issues in two years except for the steering rack at 1500 miles when I leveled it.

Yup!!!!! That's what I mean unleaded. Although some gas stations will post a sign saying their fuel may contain up to 10% ethanol. But that's nothing to get concerned about as it doesn't have enough ethonal to make an effect.

My 2013 FF had that starting problem and the dealer did a software update last week. Hoping it will take care of the problem

That is my only concern, hopefully they find out why it is doing it. But it seems that it only happens to certain fuel flex tundras. Hopefully I get lucky.
