Fuel Pump Staying On

I had my truck on the "on" position today for about 10 minutes while working on some Techstream stuff. The engine was not running. I noticed a humming sound from under my truck for the entire time that I had the truck "on" (but not running). I'm pretty sure that I'm hearing my fuel pump. Is it normal for it to stay on that long? I figured it would time out after a few seconds since I didn't crank the engine. Wondering if I should get it checked out at the dealership.

Thanks!
