Is the "camper club" open only to those with campers that are towed behind a Tundra? Or are ground tent camping folks also allowed to join? I don't have a camper, although I wish I did. Hoping to take my toddler son on his first camping trip when it cools down again this Fall in Texas with the new Bass Pro camping gear we're supposed to get as part of Toyota's 2015 summer camping event incentive.

You sir are a "real" camper. We are "glamping."

LOL! I'd be glamping, too, if I had my own glamper!

Oh yeah, this club is for any form of camping! I only graduated from tent camping 3 years ago! I still tent camp occasionally, but the majority of my camping is done in my camper. I admit camping in the camper is so much more comfortable and convenient, especially with kids. But I still have a genuine appreciation for breaking out a tent trailside on a multi-day hike.

Goss will be along to assign you a number shortly.

Welcome!

I've always cleaned my roof with RV wash evey year and check roof seals making appropriate repairs annually. Different RVs, different roof materials. Your weight should not be an issue. Just be careful.

I use to make fun of so called "campers" like us when I tent camped! Now I am spoiled with a tt and would not want to go back.

Well I got my supercharger install on my 08 last week and hooked up to my 38' TT which is approximately 9800lbs. Let me tell ya, this truck is no joke now. It's night n day different from non charged. Downshifts alot less on the hilly interstate roads where I live and the power just begs to be used. No regrets here.

That's a massive trailer and a good looking rig. I agree completely about the power and how great it feels. My toyhauler is 8900# before I put and my toys.
One thing, Mine suffered from heavy "Launch Shutter" when I first started towing. It always vibrated a little on heavy acceleration from stop but when I added the SC, it suddenly became very apparent. THEN, when I hooked my very heavy trailer behind this power beast, the shutter became very bad.
If you are experiencing any "Launch Shutter" I suggest you contact Coachbuilder for an inexpensive fix in the manner of a driveshaft carrier drop kit.
Most folks only see a need if their trick is leveled or raised but, mine shuttered even when new long before the suspension mods. Any amount of shutter is degrading the bushing and u-joints so...
Again, Good looking rig. Stay safe.

Good info. I believe I felt a little under heavy acceleration not hooked to my TT.
