RCSB crossmember notch for driveshaft clearance

The rear came out too low/lower than front.
Had to get the Firestone airbags from SOS to bring it up to level.
Here is a picture of the Notch that is necessary for a RCSB to not bend the driveshaft.
We just cut it out except for the top lip, then welded tabs on both ends, then welded it back in higher. It's ugly but looked better with some new black paint. I couldn't find any pictures anywhere so hope this helps someone.

Hi. New here. I'd like to mildly lower my 2008 5.7 using the SOS kit. Does this impact tow capacity? I tow about 5k lbs (car on open trailer).
Thanks

I would add air bags to my SOS kit if I towed anything.

Lowered the rear with an SOS kit, left the front stock.
Installed an n-FAB rear bumper, saving up for a matching front bumper from n-FAB.

Updated image.

I would recommend helper air bags.

Need a second thought. I currently have the 2/4" SOSperformance lowering kit. Found a set of 22" TRD forged rims, should I got them instead of these 18" procomps?

rims?

I've been looking for a set of 22" TRD forged rims. They have a nice old school look if you ask me. Always liked the pro comp style.
On my lowered truck I would go the TRD's with a little taller and wider tire like the 295/45 or 295/50.

They are 22" Lexus LX replica rims. They were bought off Ebay about 4 years ago.
