Stop complaining; your wife's doing all the work. Unless of course your giving gifts to those 100+ nieces/nephews you have back in Romania. If so, they better be sending gifts to your kids. I'm sure your wife "the accountant" is keeping tabs to determine the appropriate value gift to send back.

I've been shelling out gifts to nieces and nephews for years with hardly anything in return. I don't complain.

Breakdown is easy:

5 and under gets a gift.
5 to 18 gets cash/gift card.
18+ your an adult...get your own damn gift.

Parents and the girlfriend always get an expensive gift.

If she's doing the kids of your friends, that can get expensive. My older sister does that.

Can't you guys do a Yankee gift swap?

Why doesn't it surprise me that you would make this suggestion. When you do it I'm sure you wrap a broken vcr as your contribution.

Probably because I don't give gifts to the kids of my friends. At the very least it would be a working DVR. I can probably pick one up at Savers for $5-10.

😔 I to wish I could say I never go in that place but it's my wife's favorite. A month or two before we got married it seemed we were in there every single day. Can still smell those damn candles
