I got this bad boy ready to go for tomorrow. 7 1/2 lb pork shoulder. I'm going to it smoke all day while I watch the final round of the Master's. Rubbed it down with mustard, chile powder, garlic powder, brown sugar, mesquite, and cayenne pepper. I can't wait.

Have a BGE large for about 10 years now, belong to BGE charcoal club too (10th bag is free). Person who asked about cooking wild ducks, they are terrible, send me pm and I will send shipping information so i can dispose of them properly for you.
One of my best upgrades to the BGE was the BBQ Guru.
Man there are some awesome smokers, outdoor kitchens and fine vittles posted on here ... title should have warning not to view when hungry!!!!

I've never even considered this before. Does it stay as a loaf or tend to break apart?

Chop up a serrano pepper add that into the meatloaf. If one isn't enough 2 should be it is for our loaf man it makes a difference as well.

DirectTV had a promo going where I was able to get a couple of channels I'd normally have to pay for and I set the DVR to tape a bunch of BBQ Pitmasters shows. Even if I've just had dinner that show makes me HUNGRY!

Am I crazy to now want to buy one of these?:

I now have a Propane Smoker, and a Big Steel Keg, and a Weber Charcoal. I may go ahead and get another Electric Smoker too just to have all types

Link to Big Steel Keg... not got to try it yet... so we'll see how it does soon. http://www.amazon.com/Broil-King-BKK4000-Charcoal-Convection-Style/dp/B0055XSP54/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1433527818&sr=8-2&keywords=big+steel+keg+smoker

So was my Tundra! lol

I have a Master Forge vertical propane smoker now that I bought at Lowe's and I get great results with it. Think I paid $250 for it. Not sure going to a smoker that costs 10 times as much will produce meat that tastes 10 times better, but I can dream.

I keep looking at pellet Q's.

I wanted a Traeger, but after reading about feed issues I started to look around elsewhere.
It seems if the feeder jams you have to stop what you are doing, let it cool, and dig the damn thing out.

Found a pellet grill through a review by someone that had a Traeger and gave it away that has a trap door so if it jams you just open it, dump and then you are ready again.

Seems pretty cool. More money tho, double to be close.

Have only pulled out the kettle once so far this year, only used the gas grill maybe 5 times in the last month and a half even. Too busy working.

Has me re-thinking dropping 1k on a bbq.

Today I really wanted to just come home and bbq, but got out late.

I did some venison sausages a month ago that turned out awesome on the kettle. Hickory and apple. Not pic worthy, looked like snausages, lol.

I went back and forth on the pellet smokers too. I looked at Traegers, Green Mountains, and a handful of cheaper ones. I ended up buying a CharBroil from Lowes. The weight and construction seemed very close to that of a Traeger but with a much more manageable price tag. I have had it almost 2 years and love it. The temperature control is more accurate than I expected and does a good job holding temp. I use it year round, even in the negative temps of January in Iowa.

BGE headquarters I visited this past Wednesday when I was in Atlanta. Finally saw the XXL version, it's freaking HUGE. Was told it has a retail of ~$5k.

Headquarters near Atlanta

Museum in their Headquarters.

XL on the left, XXL on the right.
