Introduction

Glad to be part of this forum. I currently own a 2015 CrewMax TRD off-road that I picked up in August. Traded in a 2003 Tundra for it that I had since 2005. Took me long enough to get on this site. The old Tundra was a learning curve for me to start doing my own maintenance. I used take it to Valvoline for oil changes and stopped after they set things in motion for it to blow an engine at 114000. Since then, I do everything (within reason) on my own. Anyway, just yesterday, I performed my first oil change on my 2015 and it was not a walk in the park. I'm currently looking at what it takes to cut an opening in the skid plate for oil filter access. I have a leveling kit with a diff drop and taking the skid plate off with spacers for every oil change seems ridiculous. So that's my endeavor on my next oil change when I have it off.
