Hello,

I’m on my very first Tundra. A 2015 Silver 4WD SR5 Double Cab. Almost every other vehicle I’ve had has been a Ford truck. However, my last F150 was having issues that seriously made me doubt the quality of Ford. And the direction they've gone just hasn't grabbed me. Definitely some cool things about them, but overall... meh. I knew a couple friends that had Tundras so I talked to them about their experiences and decided to go get one before my F150 fell apart.

It was a bit of an adjustment, but I like most things about the Tundra. Found myself wanting a bit more though… So I ordered up a 2017 Cement Double Cab Tundra TRD Pro. Should be here in June.

-Mike

Not really sure why I didn't pay much attention to this forum when I first got my 2015... I guess I wasn't too excited about it for some reason...

But I'm excited for the TRD Pro. Been reading all sorts of stuff here. Making lists... bookmarking sites... Gonna have to watch my spending habits.

Is it bad form to reply to myself 7 more times to get my post count to ten?

This forum will definitely hurt the wallet. Enjoy the new truck. Wife and I try to get down to Arkansas a few times a year and go camping/hiking.

I discovered the internet-forum-dedicated-to-a-particular-vehicle-thing in 2001 or 2002 for a motorcycle I used to have. I thought the only thing I could do to my bike would be an exhaust system and 2 or 3 other things. Then I found that forum and nearly spent what I paid to buy the thing in modifications.

There are things that people do to their vehicles that I never would have thought of had it not been for these forums. Those that fabricate things in their own shops / garages... geniuses!! And even though a step-by-step guide with photos is fairly common now... those people are my heroes!

Most people strike up a conversation to get it to that point. Lol. My first truck was a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 Big Horn that I loved and got great milage but the doors didn't seal right on those Gen 2's. So I traded it for a 2008 Tundra a few years ago and could not be happier. Old enough that I do not feel bad tearing it up with Mods and such! Only have less than 50k on it also!

Revisiting an old thread here... Never did get that Pro. Kinda wished I would have now... Oh well.

But last weekend I did trade in my 2015. Never got a number for the Silver Sky Metallic Club anyway...

So now I have a Cement SR5 that I plan to pick up tomorrow. Was thinking very strongly about getting a TRD Pro again. But they don't come in a Double Cab version anymore!?! WTF?

I've got no kids, no family, so no need for the extra space, and no desire to have the back wheel of my motorcycle resting on the tailgate for hours and hours as I go down the highway. Maybe those 2 little cables hanging on to the tailgate are plenty tough for that...

If you're near Little Rock, AR, this is available at Steve Landers Toyota now.

You could fit a couple fat bitches in the back seat of a Pro CM . Is it too late to change your order?
