Hello from New Jersey!

Just bought a CPO 2010 Tundra 4.6L 4x4 w/ 74k miles on it!! Drives amazingly well. Had a quick question though:

I was offered the Toyota Platinum extended warranty for about $1,750. It's a 48-month/48,000 mile warranty. After checking out some forums where people bought from other dealerships, this seems kind of high. Is this warranty even worth it? If so, how much should I be paying for something like this? I'm considering up to the 7-year/100k mile warranty, for reference.

Other than that, it's great to be a member of this forum! Any tips for my year are greatly appreciated!

If you happen to have geico, get the MBI (mechanical breakdown insurance) for like 8 bucks a month. It goes up to 100k miles bumper to bumper and only a $200 deductible. Ive not had to use it yet but all the reviews are excellent, some say its better than the factory because geico cuts you a check and you can use any shop you want.

I actually do have GEICO. I thought MBI was only for new cars? I'll give them a call now.

GEICO MBI stops at 7-year, 100k miles. After calling around, I got another quote for 6-years/72k miles for less than the dealerships quote. That'll get me to 2022 and 146k miles. I'll probably go with this option. Thanks for the advice though! Been here only a few hours and it already payed off!

Greetings from San Diego. Welcome to the madness. I too thought the MBI was for new cars. I had it on my wife's 370z.
