I did my Platinum grill just shortly after the purchase. I also added the Glossifier to give it a little shine. So far it has held up great. Your truck looks great man.

Did mine about 5 years ago I think. Just recently had to redo the grille because it looked so bad. The bumpers also looked terrible. I didn't put any kind of protective coat so I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not, but I would never mess with it again. I just traded in yesterday on a 2015 SR5. The chrome is already bugging the shit out of me, but I'm just gonna wait until I can get the bumpers powder coated and get a TRD PRO color matched grille. I think I'm gonna try plasti dipping the badges in that smoke grey color they have though. De-badged my last truck, wanna try something different this time

5 years for $20 ain't bad. How long did it last before it started to look bad?

Do it once, and do it right....

I like the flat, Just did a lot of upgrades, so this option looks feasible.
