Howdy,

Technique question: When cleaning with say a spray bottle of Cleaner X Brand, do you spray it on a mico-fiber towel or do you spray it directly on the item-- dash, window or ??? I've never used a micro-fiber towel, so I don't know if spraying a product directly on them is correct, but I also don't really like the idea of over spray.

Thanks,

David

Hi, reading through the posts I have compiled a small and expensive list of items I need to buy in order to wash and detail my truck. I have decided to go this route after recently buying new chrome wheels and tires.

One thing I did not catch is a wheel cleaner you recommend for chrome wheels.
I saw the following, do you recommend this on chrome wheels?

Thanks!

Sonax Full Effect wheel cleaner.

SONAX Wheel Cleaner, all wheel cleaner, chrome wheel cleaner, aluminum wheel cleaner, full effect wheel cleaner

Collonites #845 looks great on wheels, and has very good durability because of its tolerance for heat

Collinite Liquid Insulator Wax #845, liquid wax, heat-resistant wax, car wax

The sonax did nothing for my wheels. It really only works on brake dust.

For how much Sonax is I would just get a 6 pack of Eagle One A2Z Wheel and Tire Cleaner from WalMart.com for $26. Or a good All Purpose Cleaner..

Really? I use it all the time to clean inside dirty, nasty barrels and it works great. How much did you use and did you let it dwell for a few minutes?

I agitate with a wheel brush and wheel Woolies.

Yeah, if you're not sold on Sonax, Eagle One A to Z works great too.
