What is largest tire size for stock 4x4?

Looking to get new tires, but don't have any idea what size I can get that will fit on my stock 2008 4x4 Crewmax. I have the TRD package with 18" wheels, but wanted larger tires that what came with truck. Does anyone know what size tires I can go to? Also, if I can get some cheap black 18" rims, what size should I go with, tires included that will fit my stock truck. I don't have a lift on it. Thanks for any help guys!

Sounds like the recommendation would be to get a leveling kit or lift kit? How much do those costs and what kind? Any info for it? Is there a difference if leveling kit and lift kit?

I've been checking out possibilities of 18inch wheels and tires as well and have been looking at the 305/60/18. I'm pretty sure they would fit without any rub at all.
Kfab-Did yours rub at all before you put the kit on?

No, even though I did trim the skip plate a little but wasn't needed after rechecking it with both wheels turned. I did took off the front little mud flap in front of the wheels. Ran it like that for a week before the leveling kit and spacer went on.

Yeah I was told by discount as well that a 305/60r18 tire will fit without any rub on +25 offset or more. That's a pretty wide tire though.

My problem is having 20" stock rims with 275/55/R20 high performance tires, that I need to change out to an all-terrain...can handle the mud, etc set of tires. It seems my best option is to sell the current rims and tires, downsize the rims to 18", and put on a set of 285/65/18 for my off-road needs. Where I'm lost, is in needing to know if a small amount of lifting will be needed to accommodate the difference.

I have a 2009 CrewMax TRD with the stock BFG Rugged Terrain 275/65/18 on them. I'm gonna buy new tires this month and will get BFG A/T TA. Will 285/65/18 fit on my truck, with no level nor lift required?

Same here. I have the ReadyLift 3/1 so I'm pretty sure I can throw what would equate to a 33 on mine with no issues.
