I just read a post in the Corolla forum (got one of them too) from a guy who just got almost $17K back from Toyota for his Tacoma that had a frame rust issue. It was a 96 Taco w/ 300K miles......Would you get that back from any of the Big 3? I doubt it very much.....I couldn't get them to fix my shit under warranty, much less 12 yrs later!! Anyway, he used the money on a new Corolla- too save gas money.

Yup!

This is my 1st truck, and I have been looking for a long time.

I have a 07 CM that I use to pull my new trailer and new (to me) boat.

I have had no problems and love the truck.

I hope to have it for many years.

i treat my truck like it is a ferrari. ive never really loved the car i drive as much as this truck. ive had a Stage 2 Roush Mustang, a 2006 Lexus GS 430, but i love this truck more than all of em.

I will definitely get a Tundra again.

I agree. I baby this truck, but it's because I like it.

I have washed it and detailed it too many times to count in the 4 months I have owned it. My previous car might have been washed twice a year. It was a car that we could afford at the time. Not what I wanted.

My wife now thinks I have OCD over this truck.

Well I have been out of town for the last three weeks so I've missed a lot , So it seems. I have read most of what peopl have said on this column. And I can honestly say this is the best 1/2 ton vehicle out there right now. There is no better 1/2 ton truck on the market that can beat what Toyota has come out with. Plain and simple. But when I read the negatives that people write on this I believe You either don't have a Tundra and your jelous of what they have built or your just stupid !!! My opinon , Sorry. This is my 5th toyota truck and I can say they make the best vehicle out there. I still have my 93 toyota pick up ( hilux ) And it has 390,000 miles on it. And still runs great. So my answer is Yes . I would defenetley buy another Tundra Hands down !!!

would not buy a tundra again

i will never buy from toyota again as long as there's options. it's not as much the problems i've had with my truck as the way they've been handled.

Just curious on what problems you had on as you call it been handled. Are you talking about bad service with a dealer ???

I would concider buying a tundra again, but only if the issues get addressed. Paint, poor ride quality, and fuel mileage are my top complaints. Keep in mind, those are just top complaints i have. I still believe the 04 DC was the best truck i have ever had.I love Toyota products, but the 07 is a failure in my book. It does a lot of things well, but misses in some areas that i feel are important.

I used to sell Toyotas.. The big difference is five, even ten years from now. You will still love your truck! I had a customer trade in a Dodge Intrepid with 60K miles, and he left with a used Camry with 60K miles; it felt that new to him...

But hey Ford and Chevy's frames are NOT rusting in half. So whos problem is worst than the other? I know my truck will be in one piece in 15 years will yours??????? Only time will tell just rember its happening to the tacoma and it was Motor Trends truck of the Year. Looks like the Trundra is just anther T100, a FAILURE!!!!!!!
I know it's old but I forgot to reply to my good friend DENUTLESS...So rust is your problem??? Apparently you don't live near the water or drive up north in the snowbelt. You talk about rust on the frame...Talk about rust period...You know haow many chevy's and ford's I seen with rust not to mention the cancer that ate my 78 camaro...The whole a** end had to be replaced.. I didn't need a keey for the trunk just stick my hand through it. Not to mention all new floorboards. Nothing like driving and the floorboard gives way and you got new A/C coming through. I know you come on this site to read this because you can't stay away but simply put If you love those other brands then you buy them...Maybe you can keep them afloat... Hell yes you buy them along with your friends....I don't want my taxes bailing your piss ant companies out....

I most definitely would! Though gas prices stink, I’d still drive this truck. I’ve cracked 5.0 Mustangs, pulled bigger trucks out of mud pits, and still able to pack it up and take a ten hour road trip and do better in gas mileage and reliability than most other trucks. I am a GM guy at heart, but not for their trucks, more for the Corvette’s (chrome bumper cars of course), and the Firebirds .

Maybe this guy should do his homework. Domestic vehicle do not make more brands than Toyota. Remember Toyoya knocked Ford out of the loop a few years ago and just recently knocked out gm and became the biggest manufacturer of automobiles in the world. What your talking about is a numbers game , yes at the time domestic did make more vehicles than Toyota and therefore had more problems because of mass quanity,But even that is wrong. Proof is in the bag when you get 300,000 and up miles on Toyota's. How many domstice brands can get that kind of mileage on them ? Now whats that got to do with a numbers game ??? Research first before you open your mouth and look stupid !!!
