I just sold my commmuter car, 07 Mazdaspeed3. 300HP, 300TQ out of 2.3L turbo, it was fun but fast is relative to what you measure fast by. My 550HP 347ci 66 Mustang that weighed 2800lbs was fast, it was freaky scary fast..... Although I guess the Mazda was faster as the Mustang would only do 130MPH (in 11 seconds flat) while the Mazda was top speed limited to 155MPH which in my opinion is fast. Anyway its early and I tend to ramble. i do believe that your Corolla was fast....and fun to drive which is all that counts really.

It was extremely fun. The XRS had different steering, suspension, engine, transmission, brakes...everything was different from the other Corolla models.
Being able to hit 145 mph and redline at almost 9K rpms was yes, hella fun! |

I had an '86 f150, '97 f150, and 2000 f150. I loved everyone of those but I had to get a Toyota. What took me so long? These Tundra's are freakin awesome! I actually gave my little sister my last truck, an f150, to help her out when I got the Tundra. She totaled it inside of two weeks. Head on collision with a dodge ram. No one hurt but both trucks.

Yea, timing is everything. My sister is kind of a flake and my wife and I had a bet on how long the truck would last. I gave it two months. Oh well. Super pleased with the new truck.

In my case I could say that I did a "family" trade in: I was the co-signer on an 07 rav4 (My credit was not too good being 20 years old). I gave a downpayment on it and changed rims + a couple of mods. It looked great. A year later my mom needed a new car and she really liked the rav4. Dam I could not resist on the truck. Also I was able to pull a great deal on it, I ended up paying $10 less a month than the rav4 (yep crazy). She gave me a downpayment on the Tundra, which is on my name now. All this happened months ago.
Not that I like gas prices but this truck justifies the extra gas expenses ![]()

Well, I got my 2008 Toyota Tundra DC 5.7L 4x4 on Feb 19, 2008 and I have 8894 miles on it and its doing great. 18mpg city/23.8mpg highway. Can't complain with that mileage, its about what I get in my Jeep.
Couldn't quite part with my jeep yet. Its still running great, unlike that POS Chevy Cobalt I had, that thing I was so happy to leave at the dealer's lot that I haven't missed it at all. My jeep on the other hand is still sitting at home in my driveway, waiting for a rear main seal replacement next month, then back on the road she goes at 193,308 miles. I love the new truck, and everyone that I work with drools all over it. Course most of them drive cars, or small SUV's so its no wonder they drool over a vehicle that their cars would fit in the back of.

Traded in my 04' excab 4.8 Silverado. I really liked that truck alot, owned 3 of them and couldn't be happier, never any problems until now. Chevy guy all the way but have also owned a 97' Tacoma 2.4l that I beat to death for 100k+ miles and the guy who purchased it from me still has it with 300k and still going strong. I tried to buy a new GMC, I really like the new style, new Silverado is too ugly. But GMC didn't want to deal because I was so burried in my Silverado. Had purchased it one year ago used for 15k with 50k miles right before the gas prices went sky high and the truck sales took a dump. Tranny started slipping and I had to get rid of it. I have a friend who's cousin owns one of the local Toyota dealerships, he unburried me out of my Silverado(don't know how, mabe the 5500.00 rebate helped) and sold me the Tundra. I am glad I purchaed the Tundra, very happy with it, power is excellent and the 6 speed trans is my favorite. Couldn't be happier. Tows my new 5k lbs boat like its not even back there.

I am reluctantly selling my 2003 Tacoma in order to be able to afford my new Tundra. I spent the 3 hour ride back from Charlotte (where I bought it) to Augusta, GA trying to figure out how I could keep the Taco. I didn't come up with a solution...
