Hey man, if you could put all that in a PM I will post the list for you and give you credit. Please list each tire brand/tire model/size/dimensions for each tire you list. Once I have all the tires for a list, I will post the entire list in one post for easy reading. Look at Post #2 and how I did it so the list will be clear for noobs and others as well.

No problem man....any and all help is great for the members. Is there a particular list of the 14 that you would like to work on for us? I would like each list to include all tires that will fit, and then notate which ones on your list would require a little modification to the truck and which ones would require no modification at all. List your results in order of OD from biggest to smallest if possible. Just let me know which list you are working on and I will update the OP.

Nope, but I can tell you you could probably combine the 2.5" lift and 3" lift catagories. I dont know of any tire size that wont fit with a 2.5" lift that will fit with a 3". If there is, Id like to know about it.

If you are pushing the limit with tire size on a 3/1, don't you think it would stand to reason that it won't fit on a 2.5" level kit? I know some guys on here that have a 3/1 with 305/60/18's that I have seen in person and it rubs a little bit. In that scenario don't you think it would make matters worse by lowering the truck another 1/2"? I have no expertise in these matters...just asking.

I suppose that could happen. But in the case you mention thats more of a width issue, not a height problem so the 1/2" lift makes no difference.

What about in that same scenario for a 35.1" OD tire that is "on the brink" of being too big on a 3/1 level kit? If you dropped the truck another 1/2" wouldn't that be an issue? The lists I am trying to create here are based on biggest Tire OD for your truck setup when it comes to lift and wheel size.

Yup, in that case youd be right.

That's why I have the 2.5" kits on the list Hollack....there might be some members out there that only have the 2.5" and are wondering about tire size. I don't want this thread to have inaccurate information and don't want to advise members that a 35" tire will fit on a 2.5" lift unless it actually does.

Hey Tc, great idea. As someone who has no clue about tire and rim sizes I just wanted to give kudos and add my support to your efforts.

It's obvious from all the threads that there are a lot of guys (and gals) who are looking for beefier tires but have no idea what will fit. Also, adding stock rims to the list is important for those who are taking their mods one step at a time.

There are a lot of us who want to upgrade but don't want to cut, chop, etc. and that part of the list is very important to most of us.

I think I can speak for all the members here in saying thanks for taking this on and I hope some knowledgeable people on here will step up and add their input.

Guys, I updated and completed the list for Setup #7. You can look in Post #2 for that new info!!! Added a few more tires to the list that I had to confirm prior to adding them. If you have anymore to add to that list or can contradict any of my findings...please do so and let me know. I believe that is the most complete list of potential tires for the 3/1 lift on Stock 18" wheels!!

Note: I also added hyperlinks to each tire where you can read reviews and get specs on each one. Just click on the tire names!!

I am still currently working on Setup #9 (3/1 lift on TRD 17" wheels) and have realized through the research that I could have gone a little bit bigger without modifying my truck!! Guess I will just wait until they need replacing and move up on size!!

3/1 lift on TRD 17" Off-Road Wheels (8"wide/+38 offset)

Setup #9 on the list: 3/1 lift on TRD 17" Off-Road Wheels (8"wide/+38 offset)

Listed in order of biggest OD, then width. All of the below tires WILL fit on the TRD 17" Off-Road Wheels and are approved by the tire manufacturers to do so. If you click on the name of the tire you can read a review and get tire specs on each one...I hyperlinked all of them.
Tires listed in RED below all will require trimming/bending of skid plate and/or removing the mud flaps or even more modification of the truck to make it work. Tires listed GREEN will both fit on the stock wheels and fit on your truck without modification of your truck.

ProComp Xtreme A/T's
35x12.5x17 (34.9" OD x 12.9" wide)
Note: The manufacturer of this tire does not supply the "measured rim" size in their specs. The rim range for this tire is 8"-11" and I am assuming they measured on like a 9" or 9.5" wide wheel. Assuming they did this, the actual specs when installed on these TRD 17" wheels (8" wide) would be 34.9" OD x 12.3" - 12.5" wide depending on if Pro Comp spec'd their tire on a 9" or 9.5" wheel respectively.

ProComp All Terrains
35x12.5x17 (34.9" OD x 12.9" wide)
Note: The manufacturer of this tire does not supply the "measured rim" size in their specs. The rim range for this tire is 8"-11" and I am assuming they measured on like a 9" or 9.5" wide wheel. Assuming they did this, the actual specs when installed on these TRD 17" wheels (8" wide) would be 34.9" OD x 12.3" - 12.5" wide depending on if Pro Comp spec'd their tire on a 9" or 9.5" wheel respectively.

ProComp XTerrains
35x12.5x17 (34.9" OD x 12.7" wide)
Note: The manufacturer of this tire does not supply the "measured rim" size in their specs. The rim range for this tire is 8"-11" and I am assuming they measured on like a 9" or 9.5" wide wheel. Assuming they did this, the actual specs when installed on these TRD 17" wheels (8" wide) would be 34.9" OD x 12.1" - 12.3" wide depending on if Pro Comp spec'd their tire on a 9" or 9.5" wheel respectively.

Pro Comp Xtreme M/T
LT315/70R17 (34.7" OD x 12.7" wide)
Note: The manufacturer of this tire does not supply the "measured rim" size in their specs. The rim range for this tire is 8"-11" and I am assuming they measured on like a 9" or 9.5" wide wheel. Assuming they did this, the actual specs when installed on these TRD 17" wheels (8" wide) would be 34.7" OD x 12.1" - 12.3" wide depending on if Pro Comp spec'd their tire on a 9" or 9.5" wheel respectively.

Toyo OC M/T
LT285/75/17 (34.1" OD x 11.6" wide)
This is the size I am running on mine with the TRD 17" Off-Road wheels and I can tell you that I have no rubbing what so ever on my truck. I didn't remove or modify anything on the truck either.

Nitto Terra Grapplers
LT305/70/17 (33.98"OD x 12.36" wide)
Note: The manufacturer of this tire did supply the "measured rim" size in their specs. The measured rim size was 9" for this tire. The actual specs when installed on these TRD 17" wheels (8" wide) would be 33.98" OD x 11.96" wide.

Nitto Dune Grappler
LT305/70/17 (33.82" OD x 12.36" wide)
Note: The manufacturer of this tire did supply the "measured rim" size in their specs. The measured rim size was 9" for this tire. The actual specs when installed on these TRD 17" wheels (8" wide) would be 33.82" OD x 11.96" wide.

Toyo OC A/T's
LT285/75/17 (33.8"OD x 11.2" wide)

Cooper Discoverer STT

Super Swamper VorTrac A/T
Currently no size approved for the 8" wide wheel, but new sizes being released lately and you might see one in the future. The smallest wheel width approved for these tires is 8.5" wide.

Anybody that knows another size that "will" fit, please correct me and I will update the list. Remember, the tires on this list must be able to fit on the 8" wide wheel, preferrably without voiding the tire warranty. Also, if you see a tire on this list that you can confirm "won't" work....please let us know so I can correct any errors!!
