2006 Tundra Wheels
I just bought a 2006 Tundra with the factory 265/65/R17 on it. I traded in my GMC Yukon XL and I kept the aftermarket tires and wheels from it because the tire store said they would fit on the Tundra. They are American Racing wheels and the tires are 275/65/R18. I went to put them on and it looks like the bolt pattern is the same but the rim will not go on because the hub cover(center of the disk that sticks out) is is too big for the rim making the rim not marry up to the disk. Does this make any sense? Sorry for the poor explaination but I do not know all the correct terms. Is there anything I can do to make these rims fit? I really like them and they have new tires so I want to use them.

Maybe this picture will help me explain it better.
The center part.....the center cover between the studs is too big on the Tundra to fit inside my American Racing wheels to let the rim sit flush so the rim can go on all the way. Any suggestions? disc-brake2.jpg |

You might not be out of luck dude! I have a 05 tundra and just ordered 22's for it. My problem was same as yours cause the 6x139.7 mm tundras have a big center bore of 108mm and most rims 5 and 6 lug are 87mm. Hard to find rims so the place I ordered from can machine the center bore to fit my truck, if you know a machine shop that would be the way to go,or either use wheel adapters at Wheeladapter.com Wheel Adapter Wheel Spacer Used Wheels New Rims Tires Gage Guage Gauge Wheal Wheals Adaptor wheelspacer wheelspacers stud studs billet bolt pattern custom parts part titanium fabrication aluminum rims rim part parts titanium coating they can do any combo you need.

I was told that a machine shop cannot bore out the center of a wheel that has already been mounted and on a car. They can do new wheels but not ones that have been on a vehicle. I e-mailed wheel adaptor.com to see what they can do for me. Hopefully that will pan out! Thanks so much for the help.

You can prolly get some wheel adapters/spacers. But they would have to be lug-centric and not hub centric. That way they push the wheels out and don't lock onto the hub of the wheel. You would prolly need like a 2-3" spacer/adapter for that stuff man. If it was me though I would just sell those wheels and keep the tires. Just get new rims.

Just wanted to give a quick update on what I did. I called wheeladaptor.com and I bought a set of hubcentric adaptors. They fit inside my aftermarket wheels and over the hub on the toyota. They do add about an inch to the wheel but with the offsets of the factory wheels and my aftermarket wheels they look good without looking like a gocart. So far they work great. I really put them through the test last weekend hunting. I went into places I probably should not have been with the truck. I made it out though myself and no problems with the truck!
I do have a question. Every once in awhile, I will have a steering wheel wobble. It does not happen all the time. The rest of the time drives good. I took it back to the tire store and they guy told me that on Fords and Toyota's if you put on oversized wheels and tires you will have that. He said it is because of the style of rack and pinion they use. Has anyone else heard of this? If so, how can I fix it?
