Clean Rims of rocks?

I was just doin some offroading and decided to look at the scenery, but funny thing was my tire was deflating.

Looks like some little rocks got between the rim and tire and opened a gap for air to come out.

Ive got most of them out but what is the best method? I still have some in there and I cant get the very last little rock out. How do i prevent this from happening again?

Ya I aired it all the way down to were the gauge would barely read it.

Am I doing the right method or will this be a bad idea to pry out the rocks?

If you can't get all the crap out I would have a tire shop break the bead then clean the crap out.

Why did you air down that low?

I aired it down that low to get the rocks out or there was no way, to much pressure. I think you think I meant offroading that low. No way. lol

How much will that cost?

That is really low. I think you aired down too much. You can damage rims like that. Best thing would be to have a tire shop remount the tires and clean all the dirt and rocks out.

Probably 20 bucks? I can’t see them charging that much for one rim.

I couldnt get the last rock out, i think it needs a cleaning. So I will take it to the tire shop next to my parents restaurant and hopefully get it for free if it isnt busy.

I didnt drive like that guys, I took the tire off, deflated them as far as i could, and then worked with it. I have respect for my truck. lol

1 mile from home and I took the 30 minutes to put the spare on. (that jack was impossible to take out.) =0

Just so you know you can break the bead with a jack. Setting the bead is tough

That first video is definitely not from a red neck. Safety glasses? Heat gloves? FIR EXTINGUISHER? We never use any of that stuff when we do it like that.

That guy in the second video used WAY too much starter fluid. A weaker tire would have blown up. Did you hear all the excess air escaping afterwards?
