Ok. Wheels done. Now which Tire?

Still no word on when my truck will arrive. Maybe tomorrow!

Ok, so I am lined up to have my TRD 18's powdercoated black early next week.

So now I need to choose tires. I current run 285/75/R16 nitto terra grapplers on my suburban and I love them. The ride is smooth and they handle well and they look sweet.

It is down to the Nitto terra Grappler or the Toyo Open Country A/T. I like the aggressive look without getting too balla and while not sacrificing much in terms of ride, noise. So, will prolly stick with A/t

Questions:
What is the biggest tire I can mount on the 18" and not rub?
What if I install a leveling kit or something similar?

Stock 18's

275-70-18 33.1"
285-65-18 32.5"
305-65-18 33.5"

2.5-3" Leveling Kit

285-75-18 34.8
305-70-18 34.8

anything wider than 305 you'll need spacers or new wheels.

As for Nitto / Toyo they are the same company. Both AT's look similar as well have very good traction and tread wear. But the nitto is a bit stiffer. Not by much though. Either way you go you will be happy. The nitto is a bit cheaper but both are great tires.

Thanks for the great info bro! Funny thing, I forgot I posted this question and just asked same in new thread...oh well.

Anyway, glad I found this one and will go ahead and order the 285 or the 305, as I am going to install the 2 inch leveling kit from Tuff Country.

Thanks Again
