18" or 20"
When talking strickly factory rims here, which is the better choice for finding good tires. This will be on the Tundra DC 4x4 with a leveling kit or maybe a small lift all around 2-3".
I am getting ready to order my truck (Tundra Grade)and I can get the 18" alloy and then get new tires for it, or just get the steel rims and buy some factory 20's on flea bay or this site and get new tires. Before you ask, I just really like the factory look when it comes to rims. I like to do a slight lift and off road tires so when guys look at my truck, they notice that it sits higher, but can't really tell it was lifted for sure. Does that make sense? Sort of a subtle lift with the agressive tires. I am weird, yes I know. Thanks for the help. |

There are a lot of agressive type tires for 20"rims now, but you will be able to get more meaty tires if you go with an 18" wheel. I understand the look you are talking about and I would probably go with the 18, just to get a little more tire on the wheel.

HMMMM, I wounder if these will fit?
285/65/20E (34.7")BFG AT KO's on Factory 20's. I have them on my F350 single rear wheel that is up for sale. I could put the factory tires back on my truck and sell it and it would take a little of the "sting" out due to the loss. About $1500 bucks worth of sting.... They are like new, and being E rated on the lighter Tundra, would last a lot longer.... |
