Ordering new wheels. need help sizing

Hello All,

I just order my First Tundra yesterday! Will arrive Friday.
2008 Crewmax
5.7
TRD
Radio upgrade

I am shopping new Wheels and tires. I really love the TRD black alloys on the fj and tacoma, but wrong pattern OBV.

I plan to move down in wheel size to 16" and fit with 295 or 305 type side wall A/T tires. Probably Nitto grappler.

So, I am looking at similar.
Like
American Racing Toyota Tundra ATX Series Fuel Teflon Coated Wheel 00-Up - AutoTruckToys.com
as well as the
7089 CAST-BLAST™ FINISH

Question: I am unclear about the proper size to order. WIll the 6x5.5- 16"x8
with 0 offset and 4.5" backside setting fit my truck?

Also, If anyone know whether TRD will release a similar wheel to the fj and tacoma for the tundra, it might save me some money, as I am sure to buy them when/if they are released.

The new Tundra Lug pattern is 5x150! I'm sure AR has it though.

Since Toyota had a major undersized brake problem with the early first gen Tundra's they made sure this wasn't gonna happen again so they oversized the calipers and rotors. This is one of the reasons for the stock 18" wheels.

I called on the AR wheels in the above link and was told they made a 5x 150mm specifically for the 08' tundra. Weird.
Wondered about this myself, and with no return policy, i will likely go with another wheel.

I love the wheels on SXD45's truck as seen under the TOM thread for May,
1st page. They look like stock 18'' with toyota center cap, but they in black finsh. Could I have just ordered these? Maybe not too late.

I PM'ed SDX earlier, just thought someone here might know.

I have not received the truck. I arrives Friday.

Wow! They look sweet.

Any direction on who and at what cost I can have this done?

What type of shop am I looking for to powder coat these?

Thanks.

Its cheaper than buying new wheels. you want to look for a shop that offers powdercoating and give them a call

if you look for industrial based coaters they will be cheaper than anyone that specializes in wheels... i had my wheels on my civic coated gloss black for $25 a wheel!
