22's OK?

Hello all. Thanks for all the info here. I wish I had read here first before buying, but oh well.

The question is are 22's to big with the 3 inch leveling kit? I have test drove some 08 Tundra's with the kit and 22's and it handled great. I understand the mileage will drop, but I only do 10,000/year anyway, so not to concerned. My fear is it will rub (which the dealer said it won't) or simply just look cheese on a truck.

Here is how I ended up with 22's. I grew tired of trying to find some unique wheels. I saw the NOVAKANE 5's and fell in love. Had to have them. It was 60 days out on order for 20's. I do not want to wait any longer. Should I have waited? I am only going to tow and haul. No 4x4ing.

i think 22's would look obnoxious .. personally

maybe if you were lowering it .. but 22's on 33's or 35's will just look goofy

Ya know bro, that's a pretty common thing on this site to get all "GEEKED UP" about wheels and pull the trigger on the first set you see no matter what size they are. There is a Silver Tundra Crew Max on this site Custom Motorsports, Inc. with 40" tires on 22" wheels but with a 14" custom lift and that looks just about perfect. Check it out! No worries if you decide to change your mind bro there are plenty of people on this site wanting to lower their Tundras willing to buy your 22's. Be patient dude!

This is what I figured. Looks like I will be selling some wheels soon.

It took me 4 months to get my truck since I special ordered it. Another 60 days to wait on the wheels would have killed me. It came with the 18 inch wheels since I knew I was modifying it. With the dealership willing to give me 0% interest on the truck- to include all mods!, I had to pull the trigger now. Had I waited and left the 18s it would have looked like a trunk riding roller skates.

since you're lifting your truck 3", i'm assuming you'll be going for the 4x4 look. 22's are too big. You would need at least a 37" tire to get "that look". There's my measley 2 cents.

Good lord people. Do what YOU WANT. If you want 26's friggin buy them already! The nice thing about customizing a vehicle is making it yours. If you do what everyone else does... well? THINK about it.

I'm ordering 24's so I hope many people drink the haterade when I post pics. That way I know it's different! LOL
