You're not going to necessarily get more miles out of your tires if you put more pressure in them. Too much pressure can wear your tires out even faster than underinflation. 55 pounds isn't enough to do any harm but 40 pounds will get you the same wear and is alot more comfortable.

Is there any problem with running that many ounces on there? I don't mind it but I can feel it in the steering (and even in the braking). -rockstate |

Before with the factory tires the spedo was not reading correct according to my GPS, it always read abuot 2MPH fast. I guess the difference in tire diameter corrected the spedo. When I check it manually I am always within a tenth of what the computer tells me. Last time I checked it was 14.9 but that was mainly city driving for work. I actually have not driven my truck in a couple weeks since I got a Honda Accord to run around in for work. Right now the Tundra is sitting pretty in the driveway and will be used for towing on the weekends.

Michilin Piolit LTX 275/65/18 Looking for best street Driving performance tire for my 2-wd , I hope it's better than the Stock Bridgestone Dueler 255/70/18 that came on the Truck from Toyota.
I just wanted to get the lowest rated profile street truck tire i could get for my 18- wheels. And wanted to try and eliminate some body roll in turns. I have just installed a TRD rear sway bar and it has really resolved 75-80 % of it and hoping lower profile tires take it to the next level. considering going with Camburg Eng Front upper Uni Arm Kit along with there Coil over Shock system .

They are great in the snow. I can plow through tall snow with no problem in my 4x4 Silverado. Great traction. |
