Hey guys, I just bought a 2002 tundra and plan on putting on a leveling kit with different wheels and tires. I plan on going with a 3 inch kit with 285 75 16 on 16 by 8 inch wheels. Will that setup work and if it will, What backspacing do I need on a 16 by 8 inch wheel. Any help I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks again.

Welcome to the site bro! Great truck! Lots of people on this site are first time Tundra owners and never had the opportunity to own or drive the first generation Tundra. I am one of the fortunate ones, I owned a 2000 SR5 4X4 Access Cab. LOVED LOVED LOVED IT! There's lots of info on this site and just recently a lot of first gen info. Do a search bro and don't forget to check the archives. This was my 2000 first gen.

Your wheels need to be 3 5/8ths backspacing to clear with no problems. Otherwise you will need wheeladapters. Show pics when your done.
