I do, its actually common sense if you think about it. Smaller wheel more tire smoother ride. Bigger wheel less tire, rough ride.

Ok then how could it handle better? less side wall flex gives you better performance. More side wall flex will ride better

well I'm not really sure that it could be a big enough deferents to really pin point it between 18 or 20's but I do think the more mass moving and taller rim would be a bit harder to shake or disturb the momentum of the wheel.

I don't know about that...ok lets say we are putting big wheels on a four wheeler, verse's the smaller wheel...less bouncy bouncy more stability.

I'm only geussing so don't think I'm hatin.

I think we need to back up a few posts here. I do agree that with less tire more wheel the vehicle will turn, corner and manuver much better, but the ride will be much stiffer and you will feel every bump. Bigger tire smaller wheel will be a smoother softer ride. Thats better for offroading for sure.

Not for real, I didn't buy it FOR good fuel economy but I did have an expectatino when I bought it that I'd get something close to the EPA ratings. I guess my point is, the stated fuel economy is fine. But I had no idea putting the dubs on it would kill the gas mileage. I've got friends with other vehicles and nobody has seen anything like that, especially considering I didn't really increase the total diameter. I'm happy with it though, after the TRD exhaust and cold air the MPG is right back at where it started in the city and WAAAAYYY better on the freeway.

Actually, since gas is $4/gal I'm on my 2-wheel bimmer ('07 K1200GT)....it rolls 45-55mpg and is equally fun to drive/ride. I just drive the truck when I'm ready to punk somebody on the road.

I am trying to decide this very thing. Get 18" alloy from the dealer when I order, or just get the steel rims and buy some factory take off 20" after I buy the truck.

I want to have the best selection for off road/aggressive tires. I think they both look good. My current truck has 20's and it was very hard to get good tires, but I was also dealing with a requirement of an E rated tire since it is a 1 ton truck. I went with BFG KO's and most likely will get the same for this truck. 33-35"

I plan to do a small lift/leveling kit but nothing more. Just want a better stance than how it comes.
