I think 34s would be good and you won't a nice ride height like the limited tundra I linked above.

I'll be getting a 6" lift sometime early next year, maybe late this year. I too would love to fit 37" on 20's but I'm sure it'll depend on the offset as to whether than can be done or not. My only concern is the issues it may cause with the shift points. My truck is a RWD, not 4x4. I opted not to get the 4x4 simply because i'll NEVER use it.

So, I'd like to get more opinions before making up my mind either way.
Will1, I see the look you want based on the pic you showed is more prerunner set up anyway. Front end slightly higher. Nothin wrong with that bro. 2WD is all you need. Lots of opinions on this site in regards to lifted 2WD trucks. Some people just don't know that there is more than one form of offroading. Prerunning/4x4. Oh ya and most people don't know that on Toyota 4x4 trucks the front axles are not straight (2 CV's per axle) and they turn with the front wheels full time. The CV joints can handle a pretty tight angle but the boots can't and will tear in time thus leaking and drying out the CV joint$. Aftermarket manual locking hubs is the remedy but they have not come out for this truck yet. I cranked up my 2000 4WD Tundra as high as I could (11") and installed Warn manual locking hubs. That was the trick!

How much of an offset would you need to get minimal rubbing?

I'm sick of walking out to my truck and seeing it on stock rims. I mean, it looks good but you know. So I'm contimplating adding new rims/tires now and doing my lift early next year sometime. I wanna go with 20" Ultra Mammoth rims, below, with some 35" tires. I just don't know if the tires will fit without at the very least a leveling kit. These rims are available with a +35 offset or a low offset option. If I can squeeze these 20" rims with 35" tires onto my strock suspension truck, I"ll be a happy man.

I just dont want to invest in these then when it comes time for my lift, have them tell me that my rims wont work with the lift.

I went through many tire / rim issues to get them to work with my 6" Pro Comp lift with 35's. The back set can't be more than 6" max. 4 Wheel Parts are doing quite a few now and have info much better these days. Another issue is depth of tire, 35x12.5 is good, and those 37's you see are most likely 12.5, not 13.5 which is common on big trucks or they would not clear w/o cutting bumper and or under fender out too. If you are just using coil over lifts you can use many more options and not run into clearance problems. Deznut made a good point that offraod is not just for 4x4. I and many of my friends have run 2wd all over the place, you just need to pay more attn to where and how you drive not to get stuck. Way more offraod is done on 2 wd
than 4. Even with 4 by option I only switch if it looks likely to get stuck or in it and cant get out. lastly the talk of I can run 37's w/o clearance problems if I am not offroad is a serious false sense of security ! There are many dips and bumps on pavement that will ruin your year when you hit one with the wheel turned and it rips the shit out of your bumper and or fender. Do your reseach and flat out measure and do math your self to be sure.

I hate having to disappoint those who have followed this thread with the intention of getting a 6" lift and huge tires... but a whole bunch of people have talked me into giving up that idea and convinced me to shoot for something that achieves more balance in terms of looks, power preservation, fuel mileage and prevention of unnecessary wear and tear... So the bottom line for me is that I'll very likely get a Toytec 3/1 lift, either Moto Metal 951s (20"x9") or Ultra Goliaths, and 275/60R20 (33" x 10.83") tires. The 275/60R20s are just big enough to still look good with the chrome rims and the 3/1 lift.

Stay with 2-wd if your really not off roading much with it.
37,s Will all but Kill your milege , I am staying with some nice aftermarket 18 inch sized wheels and going with the widest low profile Tire I can Fit on them, Those Big Wheels And Tires, Really Will Kill your Fuel Milege and handling , Not to mention the huge addtional Cost for Rims And Wheels that Size, for the sake of the ( Pimpin Look )
I just do not believe in sacrificing my handling / performance in the name of Looks. But Hey to each there own ,what ever flips your Cookie.
