What discount tire dealer did you go to so maybe I could call them and see what exactly they call this mod so I can tell the one that is in my area.

I will stop in at Discount tire tomorrow and see if they have the sensor kits. I got some new factory wheels and tires off eBay today and would like to be able to have the sensors installed. I don't like the styled steel wheels that came on my crewmax.

Went to Discount tire today to get my alloy rims and tires put on. Hated the steel wheels. They said they would put on the sensor "rebuild kits" for alloys and everything would be fine. I had also called the number of the Discount tire in Texes and he said they do the same thing...I think I talked to a shaun? I was pumped....until they broke my sensor! About five guys looked at the wheels and sensors and they said the angle of the steel wheel sensors will not work in the alloys. They also said without the proper sensors anyone would be taking a costly risk. Discount tire is buying me a new sensor for me from my Toyota dealer because of no aftermarkets. They also put everything on for free!!! It looks like I will have to deal with the little pain in the @ss light!

sensors

Did you go from styled steel to OEM alloys (the ones that are similar to the styled steel, little indentations in each spoke) ? That was my switch and it worked fine.

I went from the styled steel wheels to the alloys. I almost wish I had the plain steel wheels...they have the 20 degree valve sensors. I will use the other set of rims and tires with the sensors maybe in the winter time. I'm not going to spend the money for new sensors...I got a bear hunting trip to pay for!!!
