Pyramid Audio

anyone heard of them? my brother got a pair of Pyramid 6X9's. (Serial 6994) a couple years back and never installed them. he was cleaning his house out and gave them to me and I was thinking about installing them but I wanted to find some info on them first to make sure its worth it.

Specs from Pyramid Audio

6994 6x9
600 Watt 4-Way Quadraxial Speaker
70oz Magnet Structure
4 ohm impedance
Red injection poly cone
High temperature aluminum voice coil
Polymer Film Midrange
Myler Dome Tweeter

They look nice, but he did say they were about 40 dollars so I'm a little uneasy, but I suppose anything, and I mean ANYTHING, is better than the strip of rubber that is called a speaker in my Tundra. I just need something that can match the loudness of my monster JL w7 haha its loud but the treble and mids are missing.

They are paperweights. You could install them for practice when you want to install something that will last more than a week but that's about it. Polymer film midrange and Mylar tweeter is basically "paper with thin rubber coating." Any 6x9 claiming 600W is waving a giant BS flag.

Save your time and wait until you can get something worth while. You'll be a lot happier.
