Tinted Tail Light Vinyls Installed - Pictures

Hello everyone,

i bought the tinted vinyls off of eBay .. i think there is only 1 guy selling them.

the 2 tail lights and 1 3rd brake light cost me like $37 shipped to my door or something like that.

I had a local tint place do the install. They said it was the hardest thing they have ever done.

In pictures and from a few feet away they look AMAZING, up close you can see a few little things but im not worried about it.

The reason i went with the vinyls over painting them, is cops around where i live are major a$$hole$ and im sure ill be getting pulled over a lot because of it, and i want something i can easily take off (which the paint does not, ive heard).

Sure enough, the day after i had them installed, i got a fix it ticket.

here's the pics

looks sick. but the paint comes off with thinner. if you cut out a circle where the actual lights are and leave everything else black, you wont get tickets. i dont understand why this is a ticket in the first place. probably something to do with reducing the reflectorocity of the lights. ya i made up that word. so?

buy a second pair of stock tailights. I got a fix a ticket and replaced the stock tailights...cleared the ticket then put my tinted ones back on. Its an expense for modding your truck.

i heard on the painted tail lights, if you dont put a clear coat that they can be removed, but if you put a clear coat that they cant.

and yes the ticket is because they dont reflect with the tint on them .. thats what the cop said

Exactly what I would do. But yeah, it definitely looks better with them.

Just got a call from teh place to pick up my lights. They're darker than I wanted but oh well. I'll throw them on tomorrow after I wash my truck.
