Scosche vs Metra

Is there a difference between the Scosche and Metra dash kit? I'm trying to buy one off ebay, but there's a huge price difference between the two. $15 for Scosche compared to $40 for the Metra. Is the quality the same?

I have only delt with the Scosche. I avoided the Metra because it has a ring that goes around the head unit while the Scosche is one solid piece. Metra is supposed to match the black a little better, but you can really only tell under camera flash. All you really want is the face piece. You can use the OEM metal bracket and then put the kit face over it. The Metra comes in gloss or matte so be sure which you are getting if you get the Metra.

I paid extra for the Metra and couldn't have been happier with color match and how it fit the dash.

See the gap around the head unit in the above picture? That is where that fit ring goes on the Metra kit. I didn't like it. Here's what mine looks like up close. Ignore the dust, I left the windows open that day.
