Can't play DVDs....

Just got a 08 Tundra CrewMax Limited with the DVD Navigation option....can I play DVDs on this unit? Am I missing something here? On my Lexus IS350, with DVD Nav. I can watch movies.....If not what are my options. I know you are supposed to be "parked" with the brake set, and everything, but I can't get it to play a disc......

Like I said on your other thread, this may be a dealer activated option in your system, or you may be able to program it yourself. Check your manual.

I've heard that the DVD NAV system is strictly NAV. I may be wrong but that is why they sell the other DVD system options.

DVD Player

this option is only available when you have the Rear DVD System as well. Put it in PARK and it will play the DVD that is playing on the rear LCD.

I also have a limited crewmax. If you dont have the rear entertainment screen then you need to buy a special component that is made specifically for toyota. I dont know what its called but they are installing one to work in my truck. You need a separate DVD player but I am skipping the DVD player and using an adapter so the screen will play video and sound from my iPod. I will post pictures of everything soon. I will be getting my truck back on Monday... Woohoo.
