Audio quality question

Have 500 miles on an 08 double cab SR-5 with the 6 CD changer and feel as though the sound quality when playing FM is poor........kind of muffled and even hard to understand the lyrics. When playing a CD, it sounds fine, clear and crisp.

Has anyone experienced this? I'm considering a return to the dealer with a complaint and could use a broader perspective.

Thanks,

jb

Welcome to the forum , some people have had the same complaint and replaced thier factory antenna with a stubby or something different .
Mine was loose when I bought it , and I tightened . Mine has been fine ever since .

Hope this helps .

Just thought I'd follow up with you on this........after a little more poking around and a visit to my dealer's service dept I found that this complaint is pretty common and considered by the service manager to be unacceptable. That said, they explained that Toyota has not offered a solution yet and, they surmise, it will take more complaints before they step up to make it right. So, my name went on a list along with serveral others to wait. In the meantime, and as a consolation prize, they offered to install satelite receiver equipment on my truck at no charge. I accepted that offer but only with the understanding that I fully expected the radio to be fixed or replaced, sooner or later and they agreed willingly.

So, if others have this problem they need to lodge a complaint asap.

PS, what brand are your running boards? They look good.
