Radio automatic sound levelizer

Does any one know how to adjust the level. The manual says to adjust the control knob and select low, mid, and high, mine only will go to on or off. I can't tell that there is any difference in volume with windows down or up.

On mine I push the audio button until ASL comes up then turn the knob to have it switch from low, mid, high, and off. I wonder if we have different radios? I have the SR5 with non JBL 6 CD change and SAT button.

I didn't even know our trucks had that!!!! I've seen that option on the stereo but had no idea what it meant! Thanks!!!!!! No wonder, when I just got my truck and the wife was with me, she said it sounded like the music got louder when I would stomp on the gas and lower when I hit the stop light. I thought she was just crazy.

I have the jbl radio 6 cd and this feature isn't working. I go to asl and it will only go to on or off, no low mid or high. It doesn't make it louder when you go faster. Thanks every one for repling. I will take it to the dealer..
