Sirius receiver

Just purchased the sirius receiver and fit kit for the Tundra. Best purchase I made. Had a sirius sportster in my old Tacoma and loved it. This is better since it hooked to the stock radio. Much easier to use. I did however purchase the small magnet antenna vs. using the large one provide to mount behind the mirror. I heard lot of bad reception with that one. Install was fairly easy. Most dash items pop out with clips very carefully. Toyota wanted $479 for receiver and install. Got the unit brand new on Ebay for $225. Do the install yourself and save. Well worth the money.

So where did you install it? Looks like you have the siruis box to mount somewhere and the sirius-to-toyota interface box to mount somewhere?

Thanks,
ff

For the factory install, the receiver is mounted under the driver's seat and the interface cable is behind the head unit. My installer mounted everything behind the head unit and under the dash.

the toyota instructions have you mounting the unit behind your glove box. The mount is already there. I have had this installed for about 3 weeks now and am not really happy with the reception. I purchased the magnet antenna and monted it on the roof on top of the winshield. There can be no better place for reception. I did this because of all the poor reception post here using the factory in cab mounted antenna. The no signal display comes up often. Maybe it's sirius and not my antenna.
