Intermittent Sirius Reception
Hi All -
Anyone having issues with the installed (Tundra 08) Sirius radio reception? Seems to completely drop out for no apparent reason. The antennae is mounted at the point where my rear view mirror meets the front windshield. (Factory install.) It happens on wide-open highway, and I have no idea why except maybe the antennae placement. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this - my old XM radio never had these issues, so I don't know if it's a Sirius issue or installation issue of some kind. Thanks for listening! <sigh> |

Hi Deznutjob!
Thanks for your reply. I don't have that big of a channel behind my hood. Am I seeing that picture right? Or maybe the antenna is really small and I'm not getting a sense of scale... anyway thanks for the help - I'm trying to figure all this out now. Thanks, Ryan |

Once you got it you won't be able to live without it bro. I have a feature on my Pioneer with sirius called "Game Alert". You can program up to 10 of your favorite pro sports teams and if a game comes on while you're driving you have the option to either tune to the game or just keep listening to your tunes and watch the score scroll across the bottom of the screen in real time. Its awesome!

All I have it the AVHP5900DVD with the 7" touch screen. Upper medium range priced reciever but I love this thing. I put the all the extra modules in it for blue tooth , ipod, tv, nav system etc. I have a 20 gig ipod stuffed in the glove box for all my tunes but I also have a 30 gig jammed with movies I can watch on the Pioneer. I just swap em out. I'm lookin at an ipod with more storage to put my movies and music in. Its saaaawwwweeeeeettttttt!
