Sirius Sportster 5 Install

Hi,

Thought I would post my Sirius Sportster 5 install in my Tundra. I have the mini-dot antenna mounted on my dash, just in front of the center speaker. The antenna wire comes down just to the left of my radio. You can see my Sirius in the photo. Sorry about the dust! I drilled a 3/4" hole in the console cover and put all the wires in that cavity below the cover. I used the mount that came with the Sirius and attached the suction end to a plastic disk, which has a 3m double sided tape and attached the mount as you can see in the photo. Got the disk from Mount Guys (see below) and this works great for me. I can see the Sirius OK and the antenna dash installation has been just fine.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for looking.

FredSG

Fred! Sup bro! How do you like the sound quality of the sportster compared to your regular radio? I ask you this cuz I too had the sportster and it just didn't sound right. I bought a Pioneer reciever with built-in satellite and the sound quality is 100% better. Just sayin bro!

Deznutjob,

The Sirius Sporster 5 is my FIRST satellite radio and I've been very pleased with it so far. Since getting it, I have not used my stock radio at all. Now I can listen to my "oldie" country music to my hearts content. Sound quality has been super, in my opinion.

If it wasn't for Adam Corolla in the mornings, I'd of gotten it just to listen to Stern.
