Clarification needed on Speaker size

I have read around on here that the speaker sizes for the front doors are 6x9. While on Crutchfield they are telling me that 6x9's will not fit. So what's the deal?

Anyone?

6x9 will fit. I have Polk 6x9 and I got circuit City to install them for about $35.00. They will fit but it is snug.

Eclipse makes a 6x9 component system with a woofer that is only about 2" deep and Boston Acoustics has a 6x9 2-way with dual tweeters that is a thin mount also. Crutchfield just doesn'y carry those models. You can find them on Car Audio Video - Car Subwoofers - Car Amplifiers and Speakers. Neither are cheap, but both are less than $200/pr on that site. If you have a Double Cab, the Boston Acoustics SX65 fit nicely in the rear doors and really add some clarity over the stock POS speakers.
