Steering Wheel Controls...

Hello All,

I just installed the XM adapter for the stock radio. Some of my steering wheel controls work, ie mode and volume, however the channel selector does not do anything. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

Glad to see I am not the only one having this problem. Let me know if you find a solution.

I have XM installed on my 07 Crewmax Limited. They put the antennae on the dash right by the VIN. I have no problems changing stations and volume.

Anyone know where I can find the steering wheel control interface for sale? I am really regreting not getting that option. I don't like having to reach so far to adjust the volume. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i havent seen this as an after-the-fact add-on

you'd need a new steering wheel, and a new wiring harness to make it work which would be quite expensive and a pain in the ass.

I just figured since everything else on the truck was pre-wired the steering wheel would be too. I will be doing more research into it directly with Toyota and will keep everyone posted.

According to the service manager at my dealer, he checked the wiring diagrams and the steering wheels are not pre-wired for stereo controls. If you don't order the truck with the controls, it's a very expensive project to add them later.
