I made one of those and got rid of it..... To make room for a bigger one. There's just enough volume for the subs. The center one came up a hair shy but they hit HARD!

What would I have to do to get a box like that? I would be very interested, I might just want 2 but Ive never heard shallow subs in person so i dont know how loud and clean they get.

Use the right wood, use gorilla glue and wood screws, make sure you allow the right amount of box space or volume for each sub, choose the right sub, choose the right amp (monoblock is best), and use the right size wire. Its that simple! The best deals on shallow subs that I have found is on ebay. Go to Ebay and type in "shallow subwoofers"

i like the set up I just have two pioneer 12's yea they hit pretty good!! pushing 1000/ watts to them and the amp can still power them higher but they start to sound weird because the box I built is so tight!! one sub wire came lose little while ago so before my amp clipped. I had all that power to one sub and wow hits harder then both of them firing.

Nice, got any pics? Ya,when I showed mine to a buddy that runs a local Circuit City install shop he said he never heard the shallow Pioneers before. We made a few gain adjustments and he was blown away with the amount of power they can handle and how hard they hit. Can't go wrong with the Pioneers bro!

added a monster 1 fad not pictured. ill take a new one of the amps the wheel jack is still there and everything

EDit I saw your box is big like mine. You added thoughs rubber stop, where did you pick them up at? I opened up my seat and moved springers around so my seats sit OEM but the sub is firing up into the seat. its fine I guess maybe I can pick up your rubber spacers see if it works better maybe sound even better. When the JL shallow comes out I want build a Ported box for one 13" feed it with same amp. uhh well g-night

Check my thread on "DC rear seat mod" it shows how to mount an amp behind the back of the seat with access.

Deznutjob, looks good, I would love to hear the 12's. Pioneer subs do hit hard!!!

On my 2008 DC I did a seat mod and mounted the amps on the back wall:

Then modded the seat and moved the center bracket so I could have (6) 8" shallows powered by a Zapco 1100.1. I just picked up a Zapco C2K 9.0 with 2200+ watts so look forward to giving them more power...

I am still missing the lows, so still trying to come up with something...

Now that turned out slick! Although if I were to stick the box out that far I would have followed the contours of the floorboard. But that's just me. Great job!

HOJU, nice looking box. Are those subs W3's? The middle seat belt mechanism is a pain, but you worked around it nice.

Thanks about the 6 8" Pioneers they sounded good and got loud but want to really hit some lows, so decided to pull my passenger back seat and fab a box. Got all my stuff and install starts tomorrow...

2 Critical mass UL12's powered by 2 Zapco 9.0's (2200= watts each)
