GBS add on question.
If a GBS is installed on a Tundra after the OEM alarm has been activated, does the alarm have to be reconfigured with a Tech Stream to recognize the GBS, or will the GBS just start working?

Having installed the GBS in my Tundra, and then had the dealer activate the alarm, all I can offer is an educated guess.
I would guess the GBS will work just fine - I had a look at the activate instructions once more and the only item being turned on in the menu is "Security System". If your alarm is already on then I can't see anything else that would need to be done. It did not specifically stated GBS anywhere in the activation sequence in the instructions; just "Alarm System" with the options "On" of "Off" Even if you did need it turning on, most dealers would do this free-of-charge when having your truck serviced. Both local dealers told me they would turn it on for free when I had my truck serviced. My GBS system comprised of both the GBS sensor and the GBS ECU
