Double Din In-Dash Install Question??

For those of you who have Pioneer, Eclipse or Kenwood Screens. I just bought the Pioneer D3 from best buy and they wanted to charge $210+ to install. I have the reg. factory radio without JBL. They said i need some bypass module that was gonna cost $150 and i just thought they were full of BS. I know how to install aftermarket radios but i've never attempted a Screen. I don't if i should try it or not. So i know i need the Toyota harness and the SCOSCHE kit. What else do i need to complete the install???

the bypass is so you can watch dvd and use nav while in motion...otherwise alot of the functions go away...i have a kenwood dnx7100...very easy to bypass, just ground a wire....best buy here sells the avic d3 for $1000.00...not sure what you paid, but you can get online for 600.00 or crutchfield offers a package with the d3, bluetooth, ipod, harness and dash kit for 800.00...just thought i'd help you save some cash...anyway the bypass module i believe is some sort of speed sensor thing for pioneer

2007 dctundra4x4..Yeah that scosche kit sucks, my radio didn't fit. I had gotten one from crutchfield for the head unit i have but i want one that matches the gloss of my climate control panel better. So does that high gloss panel your talking about match. I would really like it to be seemless.

metra kit is much better, gloss matches, no gap between panels, and my head unit folds down and tilits without getting stuck...

Best buy is just charging you extra 200$ to ground the parking brake wire... mount the GPS in the center speaker cut out and your good to go!

pioneer doesn't bypass that way...there is a wire that connects to the speed sensor (i think)...thats what you have to bypass, not just a ground...
