XM install

So I don't find out until after I take delivery that I have NO XM sat. radio in my truck. My old truck had it and I still have an account with XM. My dealer tells me they want $400+ to install it!

I have ordered the receiver and fit kit from toyotapartspeople.com for $258
Yes I could buy an aftermerket unit for less but I didn't want the mounting/extra wire hassle.

Has anyone installed on and do you know if there is anything else I will need?

Not sure on the XM. I have installed Sirius in other trucks and it was a snap. Just plug and play install. The only issue was finding a good spot to mount the reciever inside the dash so it didn't rattle around. If all the wires and connectors come with the kit you ordered you should be good to go.

HAHAHAHAA... I have XM installed but not at the factory. Dealer installed it because of late delivery of wife's Prius. Promised on Monday received Prius on Wednesday and XM installed that Saturday on both vehicles. I too had XM on my Chevy and it wasn't much so I paid for both to start as 3 year deal.

Is that why my portable unit wouldn't work while I was there a few months ago?
