Just won one on ebay but don't have d3. I'm still using factory stuff for now. I utilize my XM and MP3 to get what I want.

Pioneer D3 / Pioneer B-U Cam, with OEM Wiring

i have a similar situation, only kind of the reverse.. Im using a pioneer headunit and pioneer Backup cam, and trying to use OEM wiring... i've searched forum after forum, and all i can find is people that bought the OEM backup camera and installed them in aftermarket headunits... i have pioneer avic d3 and pioneer DN-BC2 (backup cam), just wondering if anyone knows of a way to use the factory wiring that is run from the the front to the back of the truck so i dont have to run new wire throughout the truck. trying to make this as simple as possible... suggestions much appreciated.

Anyone get any new information on this? I just bought an Alpine W505 and wanted to couple it with the factory camera. If someone could point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same head unit. How did you get the factory cam to work with the head unit? I'd like to install that one since my backup cam attaches to the top two holes of my license plate and Orlando PD seems to have a problem with it twice so far because it "partially covers up" the word "FLORIDA" on the plate.

The D3 installs the same as the Z2. And connecting the OEM camera is the same regardless of the brand of stereo.
