Yeah he's right bowtie...I "didn't have one" either until that ish went off after they activated it and freaked out the service manager. (we couldn't get the damn thing to turn off) haha...the tech walked over and ripped up the invoice after I asked how much I owed em...good times!

Just called my dealer and after them "playing dumb" ( I will give them the BOTD) he said oh yeah, I know what you are talking about. I have done it to one other truck. He even said that he would do it for FREE.

It's a little flashing truck that I have only noticed at night after I lock my doors. I guess that it. What does it mean? F*ck I think I am just stupid since I was in a Magnum for the last four years. Last edited by Codiac : 08-14-2008 at 06:25 PM. |

I have no idea what that truck is .. only thing i can imagine is the picture of the truck thats used with the sonar .. do you have sonar on your truck? best way to check and see if your alarm is activated .. sit inside your truck .. use the remote to lock it .. wait 60 seconds .. and open your door you'll know

the flashing red truck is your immobilizer indicator. When you lock your truck, the little red light will flash. It's a picture of a truck with a key in the middle.

Yessir. GOOD LUCK WITH THAT! I had none and eventually just forked out some bucks for a Viper 5701.

Just had my truck at the stealership. Tried to get them to activate the alarm and they brought my truck up on the computer and told me that I did not have one. I showed them the tech-strem instructions and they said that my truck did not have an alarm and that the instructions would not work. I asked them to try it and they would not.

Rob, I think most of the Tundra's have the alarm. I don't think the V6 does. I have a DBL Cab SR5, and I know those and Crew Cabs have it. It's a good thing that you just purchased your truck, because you haven't recieved your survey in the mail yet and the Dealer know that. If he doesn't know that, Remind him! Get the instruction (somewhere on this site) on how to activate it. It's really programming that they do. Once they get there, they can change the bells for seat belts and door locks. I just wanted my alarm activated and I was happy at that. Tell them, the alarm is there, why didn't you guys activate it? "Let me get in touch with Toyota and you can explain to them why you not only didn't, but why you still won't activate it even though I'm providing you with the instructions on how to do it?" That survey is real important to them! twoweeled |

Where are the instructions? I have searched but can't find them. I am going to the dealer on Monday, and I'm hoping they won't charge me to activate my alarm.

go to search and put "alarm install". click on "OEM Alarm,,,dealer has to activate" go to page 2 (or second page) and look for a message from goneballistic (I hope I spelled that right) and he has a hyperlink with the instructions you can try "http://goneballistic.info/alarm.pdf" but I don't think that will work. I think the pages you'll need are pages 10-17. get them all, but all they need is 10-17. Sorry, I was gone all weekend. got to get to bed. later gator!
