haha, no, I think you should just be able to tap on the window and it should go off. I would assume that if you hit a window with the palm of your hand, it should go off if it's activated.

If I understand the sensor correctly, its probably like the one in my daughters room in the house. I have ADT and they put this sensor that senses a certain db when the glass breaks. The installer also told me that if a good thunderstom rolls through it might set it off without the actual glass breaking. She is young right now, in a few years I wont have to worry about anything because their will be bars on her door and windows!! Anfd DADY has the only key. Not kidding either

If they can/will not hook it up ask for the owner, that will get there attention. Some of the service tech are unsure of what can be done since these are new trucks.

Keep us posted.
Well, they called to let me know the license plate is in. But nothing yet on any alarm activation. How long can it take em to research this? Totally starting out on the wrong foot w/ the service dept.

13 huh??? Well I am sure you know all the stats about that!! I have one in the oven and I will find out the gender when I get home in a few weeks. If its another girl I am going to stuff it back in until the third leg grows!!! I would be understandable for god to do that to me though...I would deserve it from my saint like past!! lol

Have your service department call the dealership here in New Bern, NC...They did mine and I had to school them at first. They are now on board and should be able to direct any other service depatments on how to do the alarm activation.

Here is their number: New Bern Toyota (252) 637-7200

After reading this thread, I played with mine and realized that it was already activated. Lucky for me I guess. I like the option where it yells at you when you are trying to arm it and theres a door open. I was a little set back at first, but figured it out eventually. lol

Wish it did that when you leave your parking lights on, since they don't seem to turn off on their own. I don't have the alarm activated and mine has that warning about a door being open when you try to lock it.

My lights turn off when I double lock the key pad if my switch is on.

Here's what I'm planning on getting next month. Hasn't hit the shelves yet. I like the fact that if someones messin with my truck, the key Fob will alert me. You can even put it to silent mode so that if it goes off only you will know. Allowing you to grab your 9-iron, running out and smacking someone across the head with it. Plus, it's a sexy alarm.
