Aux input volume to low?

Hey guys, sorry if this has been asked already. I used my aux input for the first time today. The volume was so low even with the ipod turned all the way up, i to have the stereo on 50 to be able to tell which songs were playing. Anyone else have this problem???

Thanks.

Mine is not that bad. If I turn my ipod all the way up, then the volume is the same as radio, xm, cd etc.

part of the problem can also be the quality of the mp3 file on your ipod. If it's not ripped from a newer cd or if it's from 'ahem' questionable sources, then they will not sound as good. As for me, other than my older files, no issues on my end.

I've had the same issue too. Turn your Ipod up all the way, then adjust the radio volume. It helps some but will never be as loud as normal radio. My XM SKiFi works pretty good, but you have to really crank it up there i.e - 50s on volume control, to get it jammin!

I had the same problem with my XM Inno. It has volume level plus an output level. You may need to go into your setting and increase the output or car level.

I use a Samsung MP3 and I put the Samsung at 40 which is as loud as it gets and the stereo to 25 and I get a very loud output. I put it to 30 with all 5 windows down and the sunroof opened doing 70mph.

Mine doesnt seem to bad, I have the IPOD about three clicks from full, and I have the stereo at 20-30 and its plenty loud. Must be a case by case basis.

You might set the EQ on the iPod. You can set it to ROCK and it will increase the gain to the highs and lows above a 0db gain coming from the iPod. Then you can turn the iPod all of the way up and see if the volume increases. I do this on my iPhone because I set it to BASS REDUCER when listening to the speakerphone (poor quality speaker in the phone) and change it to ROCK when listening in the truck.

I hook up my nuvii 350 to the aux and play mp3's with no problem . But I did have the same volume problem at first , it seems for my set up that they make a generic aux input cable that is not Stereo . So I found a stereo cable and no more problems since . I don't know if this would have anything to do with your problem , I don't own an Ipod .

I got my aux cable at walmart , it says stereo aux cable for about 6 or 7 dollars . Look where they have the audio cable section and it is there .

Hope this helps .
