Both JL and Crutchfield say it goes under the passenger side seat? All the photos show the drivers side. How does it sound ? I have 3 10" in a custom box under the passenger side now. But they are shallow subs.

FYI: I have been in contact with JL. Their slimline subs will be available beginning 08 and they have already begun design for a stealthbox for the CrewMax. It will hopefully be unveiled approx the same time as the slimline sub is released (According to the JL email response). I know that JL products can not get here fast enough....a bit disappointed that they were not available by Christmas when others have already released a slimline series. These however, require less mounting depth than many other popular brands. I am anxious to hear the quality that I am sure is there as well.

Here are pictures of the Stealth Sub sorry it took so long. If you install this sub I would definitely add Dynamat to the back wall...two layers if you can. I would also remove the center seatbelt mechanism it will vibrate like crazy. Hope this helps. I cant even see the sub with the seat down.

Hey to all I made a 8" sub box that fits in the middle of the storage box & lets you keep some of your storage..It's not perfect i may build another that is a little cleaner but you can put it in and still keep storage on either side i will have pictures up soon.

Sorry about the delay in replying I was traveling for work again...The sub sounds great! The only issue is rattles that I keep hearing. I think I am going to add 1/4-1/2 MDF board for the back wall. If I was to do this sub again from the start I would take down all the cloth from the back wall. Then I would go with one layer of Dynomat Ext...then 1/4 MDF..then either staple some foam to the MDF or another layer of Dynomat Ext. after that I would then remove the center seatbelt assy(I wont need it for a passenger).

Someone asked what the bolt was in picture 5, that is the bolt that screws into the box from the seat bracket.

The amps that I am running are JL 250/1 v2 and a 300/4 v2. I am a JL whore...I bought JL component speakers for the doors, I must say that I need to get them tuned because right now the mid bass is lacking....the highs are very nice, the sub sounds good. I will let you all know how it sounds once I get it tuned...I have everything turned down....pre amp....gain....just for the break in period. I will let you guys know how it sounds with everything "powered up"

ok, i have a 2007 Tundra Crewmax...i just installed two eight inch subs, with a JL Audio 1000/1 and Audiocontrol lc6i without removing the JBL OEM headunit or altering anything else besides removing the little 10 jbl sub that came with it. If your interested in seeing how i did this let me know. took me half a saturday and it sounds great and looks professional and stealth.

There's no room under my SR5 Double Cab rear seat for things like that. Where would I keep my shotguns & Rifles?
