So my problem started when a trash can ( yes a big one ) was blown by the wind into the front fender of my Pro. ouch big dent!
So i had the dent PDR'd and they did a good job but not perfect, I see it everytime I look, So it is $450 to fix it or put some flares on it to protect it for the future and cover the PDR work.
Which ever style I go with I am definitely ditching the stock tires.
so any thoughts and pictures would be great of Pros with flares and opinions of course?
i really dont want to lift or change rims for bigger tires then the 295/70's that don't need mod's to work is my goal.
thanks guys
black flares on a trdpro look good if the truck is orange or tan due to these two colors seem a bit much w/o black flares, just my opinion.
Flares being round can seem a bit stuck on due to the trdpros have angular fenders and flares make tire and wheels look a bit on the small side. for every mod comes other things to think about. [
here's mine. bushwacker pocket style flares, I painted them with truck bed liner. also added spidertrax 1.25" spacers and goodyear duratrac 275/70/18's. no complaints, love the setup.
I just dont get the appeal of fender flares. Even if they are painted or tastefully put on. Not hating on anybody's truck just baffled......here come the thumbs downs.
Has anybody installed these and found a way to keep the factory mudflaps? I really want the pocket flares, but I don't want to lose the extra protection of the mudflaps. I have looked at the OE style flares, and I had them on my 2012, but I feel like they will look kind of lame on a Pro.
That's my thoughts as well, go OE ( kinda lame ) keep stock mudflaps with bigger tires maybe spacers or go Pocket flare Even bigger tires and Lift. I really dont want to spend a fortune to basically cover some PDR.
though it is an excuse to drop the scratch on the truck to the wife to cover said PDR work
one PRO member has the OE on his, he also has a cap on his, i can't remember where i saw it on here........
