Just bought a white TRD Pro Crewmax and looking to upgrade the tires (of course). I want to upgrade to bigger tires, but having a hard time choosing. I don't want to take a major hit on performance and mpg. Any suggestions? Thanks!
I know there are several Pro members who successfully installed 295/70/18 and they look awesome. But I personally would go with 33 inch tires. I would like a little more space between the wheel well and the tires than 295/70/18 provides. Along with 275/70/18, I would also look at 295/65/18 (which is also 33 inches).
I was going to run the 295/65r18 duratracs but they are on back order "so discount tires says" and they didn't know when they would be back. So now I'm going with the 285/70 nitto exo grappler. Breaks down to 33.98x11.5
295/70/18 Nitto Trail Grapplers. They fit with out any rubbing, even at full lock. You do have to remove the front mud flap of the front end, the rear flaps are good.
