Exclamation Tow near GCVW......

have a 32' Trailer.........when loaded and adding in truck payload it is near the combined weight. No real issues except am considering upgradeing the tires to a 285/65/18...........just a little concerned on the 2650 tire rating vs the 3600 and 80 lbs PSI of the 285's.

As noted in another post I really think drag and length of a trailer is the real issue. If I was towing a 4x12 10 k weight it would be smoother than an 11 foot high 9200-9400 pound trailer- by far!! Plenty of grunt........of course gas goes south as expected.

I have towed my brother-in-laws skid steer loader and it weighs a combined trailer and loader- 10,133lbs. I towed it about 20 miles up I-15 thru a twisty section. IT WAS THERE for sure. No equilizer hitch or anything just straight on hitch pull. Power was fine, set the trailer brakes quicker and took it easy, well at least for me... 65mph. Wouldn't be afraid to do it again but hey I have been driving semis and heavy equipment my entire life so this is cake. 10,000lbs is a big load for any single rear wheel pickup. If it wants to push you it is going to push you. You just have to know how to actually "Pull" a trailer to avoid that.

New pic towing Bobcat skidsteer loader. Total weight (load + trailer) 9,600lbs. This was a rental unit that I used over the weekend to do some clean up on my property. Towed just fine! There was a guy with a mid 90's Chevy 3/4 ton loading the same skidsteer his poor truck looked weak and crushed compared to mine. He was giving me the evil eye cuz my truck was way cooler than his
