I have this device installed in my turck, they say its for brake control, is it any good or shall i remove it?

It is for trailer brakes if you are going to tow a trailer with brakes. It won't hurt anything being installed even if you don't tow a trailer. It will handle just about any trailer you might tow so it's a decent trailer brake controller.

Yep, what he said. It turns on automatically when you hook up a trailer with brakes but otherwise just sits there...begging.

Anyways the tekonsha brake controller, is the entery level of the good controllers, I put that one in my wifes truck. It works great. It is an inertia activated brake controller, and will apply trailer brakes depending on how much your asking for brakes from the truck. Im sure you will be happy with it.
